Shipping Notes and Conditions

General Notes:

  • All futons are vacuum-packed in Japan to minimise freight charges. It usually takes 6–48 hours of hanging time for your futon to reach its original size upon unpacking.

  • All futons are shipped fully insured against loss or damage in transit.

  • Do not to use a sharp blade to open the package. If you do and cut the bag, cover or futon there is no insurance.

  • All mattresses and quilts are individually vacuum-packed in reusable futon bags. Spare vacuum bags are available for purchase at $14.

* Delivery Zone Details: Please note that some outlying suburbs for several cities and towns are not zoned as metropolitan. If you reside in one of these areas, it is often cheaper to have the item delivered to a more central destination. This also applies to remote locations within the regions listed above.

** Transit Time Estimates: These are estimates based on what our carriers quote for priority shipments. We do not guarantee delivery within this window, as many unforeseen factors can affect delivery times. December deliveries are often significantly delayed because of the increase in volume.

** New Zealand Orders (NZ): These are approximate prices for NZ deliveries (prices updated 09/08/25). We can provide more accurate prices on application. All export purchases will be less GST, however, the customer will need to pay any import costs charged by NZ customs prior to the shipment being released for delivery.
