Japanese Woodblock Prints (Ukiyo-e): Antique, Contemporary & Re-carved

Ukiyo-e (literally "pictures of the floating world") are the most widely recognised form of Japanese graphic art. These woodblock prints rose to prominence during the Edo period, originally depicting subjects like famous Kabuki actors, beautiful courtesans, and stunning landscapes.

We feature three distinct categories of prints to suit every collector: Antique Originals by masters such as Hokusai and Hiroshige; Contemporary Prints by modern artists working in the Ukiyo-e style; and Re-carved Classics which offer affordable, high-quality replicas of famous designs.
