Shipping Policy, Freight Charges, and Furniture Delivery

1. General Delivery Methods

We utilise a combination of couriers and specialist furniture removal companies to deliver your items anywhere in Australia. The method used depends on the size, weight, and fragility of the consignment.

2. Small Items (Satchels, Materials, Art)

For materials, kimono, obi, and small dinnerware items, we use courier satchels. Shipping is charged based on weight and volume at the following rates:

  • Standard Satchel Rates: $14.95, $19.95, or $24.95

  • Regional Areas: May incur higher charges.

  • New Zealand Satchels: We now ship satchels to NZ at $23 per kg (minimum charge for 1 kg).

5. Important Delivery Conditions

  • *Estimated Working Days: Delivery timeframes are provided as guidelines only and represent working days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). Our transit estimates are based on what our carriers quote for standard shipments. We do not guarantee delivery within this window, as unforeseen logistics factors can affect carrier schedules. December deliveries are often significantly delayed due to seasonal volume spikes.

  • Authority to Leave (ATL) & Redelivery: Consignments sent without an Authority To Leave may be subject to a redelivery fee (typically $33) if no one is available to accept the goods or if the courier cannot gain secure access. We can request that a carrier calls or texts when your delivery is on board, but we cannot guarantee notification of their exact arrival time.

  • Removalist Delivery Conditions: Large furniture items are shipped door-to-door. Our standard removalist rates cover ground-floor delivery with straightforward access. Additional fees may be incurred and payable directly to the removalist if delivery involves difficult property access, strictly specified arrival windows, or multi-story apartments without adequate lift access.
