Shipping Policy, Freight Charges, and Furniture Delivery

1. General Delivery Methods
We use a combination of couriers and specialist furniture removal companies to deliver your items anywhere in Australia. The method used depends on the size, weight and fragility of the consignment.
2. Small Items (Satchels, Materials, Art)
For materials, kimono, obi and small dinnerware items, we use courier satchels. Shipping is charged based on weight and volume at the following rates:
- Standard Satchel Rates: $14.95, $19.95 or $24.95
- Regional Areas: May incur higher charges.
- New Zealand Satchels: We now ship satchels to NZ at $23 per kg (minimum charge for 1 kg).
3. Standard Freight Charges (Category 1-6)
How to use the table: Find your delivery zone (rows), then select the shipping category for your item (columns 1 to 6). The category for each item is shown on its product page.

4. Furniture and Large Items (Removalist Quotes)
For furniture or large consignments over 1m³, we recommend using specialist furniture removalists. The prices below are approximate starting quotes and are subject to change. Please contact us for a quote based on your specific items and delivery address.

5. Important Delivery Conditions
- *Estimated Working Days:
Delivery timeframes are a guide only and are in working days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). Our transit estimates are based on what our carriers quote for standard shipments. We do not guarantee delivery within this window, as unforeseen factors can affect carrier schedules. December deliveries are often significantly delayed due to seasonal volume. - Street Address Needed:
We can't deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers. Please give us a street address. - Damaged Deliveries:
Please check your delivery straight away. If the carton is damaged, take photos of it before opening and of any damage, and email them to us on the day it arrives. Please keep all the packaging and don't use a damaged item until we've sorted it out with the carrier. - Authority to Leave (ATL) & Redelivery:
Consignments sent without an Authority to Leave may be subject to a redelivery fee (typically $33) if no one is available to accept the goods or if the courier cannot gain secure access. We can request that a carrier calls or texts when your delivery is on board, but we cannot guarantee notification of their exact arrival time. - Removalist Delivery Conditions:
Large furniture items are shipped door-to-door. Our standard removalist rates cover ground-floor delivery with straightforward access. Additional fees may be incurred and payable directly to the removalist if delivery involves difficult property access, strictly specified arrival windows, or multi-storey apartments without adequate lift access.
