Authentic Japanese Za isu (Legless Chairs) & Traditional Bath Stools
The Za isu is the name for the traditional legless chair used in Japanese homes and restaurants.
Za isu come in a variety of styles; some include padded cushions, while others feature a hole in the bottom to accommodate a Zabuton (cushion) for added comfort.
Sourcing Transparency: While we source our Za isu from our suppliers in Japan, for manufacturing reasons, they are currently made in Taiwan.
Note on Bath Stools: We remain committed to sourcing the genuine wooden hinoki bath stools from Japan. However, due to production and export challenges, we have been struggling to source these traditional wooden stools consistently. Please enquire directly for current stock availability.
