Nihonmatsu Clothing Chest (FM63)
This Meiji Period clothing chest is a classic two-part (futa-kasane) Nihonmatsu isho-dansu. Crafted from Sugi (Japanese Cedar), it features prominent circular iron lockplates with a brass rim (fukurin) and an embossed Sakura motif. The unit is finished in a warm lacquer that highlights the natural timber grain, complete with traditional Warabite handles and side-carrying irons.
